I decided to spring clean our medecine cupboard recently and here, dear reader, you see what I found! I hasten to explain these were all the old homeopathic tablets accumulated over 35 years! They are meant to last for ever, but enough is enough, and they could not possibly be reliable after all this time. My husband took them to the chemist shop for disposal and I never asked what the reaction was when they saw the quantity! I am rather more meticulous with the regular disposal of the usual type of medication, and so I should be as a nurse/midwife. I feel quite ashamed. Anyway, now my cupboard is almost empty and I feel self-satisfied at creating space in there. This is my long term goal - to gradually work my way through the house weeding out, rationalizing, filing , recycling and disposing. My husband is looking decidedly nervous, but I think I'll keep him!Yesterday was the last Saturday before our concert. It went well. The harpist arrived for the Mozart flute and harp Concerto, and it was really lovely. At one point our conductor praised the cellos and then looked horrified and said," I've broken a cardinal rule, 'Never praise the cellos if you ever want them to play pianissimo again'! It's just as bad as smiling at the brass"!
