This is Jacob, sitting in my dining room next to a fellow called Major Planter. The Major is about 5 years old and Jacob is 145. I love him. I thought I was going to be as old as he is before I succeeded in getting these photos up so I am now going to press the 'publish' button whilst keeping everything crossed! If successful, I may treat you to a view of my gallstones. Watch this space!

Very nice photos, and I love Major Planter!
Congratulations on the photos. Who knew that all blogger accounts weren't the same? I don't recall downloading anything extra for mine, but it's been more than a year....
Nice photo of Jacob.
Beautiful cello.s
Hey, Jacob and Ingrid have the same stand! He's a beauty. Is that a boxwood tailpiece? Nice.
Thank you, Guanaco for your advice. I've been trying to put on another photo this afternoon and so far have failed!!
maggie ann: Hello! Nice to hear from you.Thank you.
PFS:These stands are great, aren't they? I don't think I'ld practise so much if I had to open a case every time. Yes, it is a boxwood tailpiece. Well spotted. My luthier wondered if it would help to get rid of the wolf that lurked on the D string. We thought wood might be better than metal. It wasn't, but I like it as it's more natural. I got rid of the wolf with a metal eliminator, and the ghost wolves on the other strings have gone as well!
I've been chasing a ghost wolf for quite a while. My wolf eliminator takes care of the wolf on the D string, but that seems to create a ghost wolf on the G string, which moves around between C and D when temperatures vary.
Great to see your pics! Your cello is gorgeouos. I have to get working on posting photos. I have one lonely photo on my blog that I posted shortly after our holiday concert last December. I know that since I did it once I can do it again, but like you I think it took me a few hours to get it to work. I also need to work on getting the images from the camera to the computer, but I've been lazy about learning to do that.
Oh yes, aren't those stands just wonderful! And especially being able to leave the end pin extended ... I would never practice if I had to open a case.
